Cooking instructor



My name is Sushma Hall. I am an experienced home cook of over 35 years. I am Indian, born in the Caribbean and I am adept at cooking both cuisines. My tastes are international, and I cook Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, American comfort foods and more.

My cooking philosophy can be best summarized in two words: "authentic" and "flavorful." I grow herbs in my kitchen garden and use them liberally in my cooking along with other seasonings. I prefer to use seasonal produce to capture the best flavors.

I do not eat any red meat and do not offer it in my services, however I do offer poultry, vegetarian and seafood dishes.

I love teaching cooking and look forward to introducing beginners to the pleasures of cooking and introducing seasoned cooks to new cuisines like Indian or Greek.

Cooking has been a passion of mine since I bought my first cookbook in my 20's: "From Julia Child's Kitchen", and I continue to taste and experiment with new foods mostly inspired by my travels. I look forward to sharing my passion and skills with you!
